Certified Financial Planner (CFP®):
The CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, CFP® and federally registered CFP (with flame design) marks
(collectively, the “CFP® marks”) are professional certification marks granted in the United States by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (“CFP Board”). The CFP® certification is a voluntary certification; no federal or state law or regulation requires financial planners to hold CFP® certification. It is recognized in the United States and a number of other countries for its (1) high standard of professional education; (2) stringent code of conduct and standards of practice; and (3) ethical requirements that govern professional engagements with clients.
To attain the right to use the CFP® marks, an individual must satisfactorily fulfill the following requirements: a) complete an advanced college-level course of study addressing the financial planning subject areas including insurance planning and risk management, employee benefits planning, investment planning, income tax planning, retirement planning, and estate planning; b) pass the comprehensive CFP® Certification Examination (2 day; 10 hour exam); c) complete at least three years of full-time financial planning-related experience (or the equivalent, measured as 2,000 hours per year); d) agree to be bound by CFP Board’s Standards of Professional Conduct; e) complete 30 hours of continuing education hours every two years; and f) renew an agreement to be bound by the Standards of Professional Conduct.
Certified Financial Planners are licensed by the CFP Board to use the CFP mark. CFP certification requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Completion of the financial planning education requirements set by the CFP Board (www.cfp.net)
• Successful completion of the 10-hour CFP® Certification Exam
• Three-year qualifying full-time work experience
• Successfully pass the Candidate Fitness Standards and background check
Individuals who become certified must complete the following ongoing education and ethics requirements in order to maintain the right to continue to use the CFP® marks:
• Continuing Education – Complete 30 hours of continuing education hours every two years, including two hours on the Code of Ethics and other parts of the Standards of Professional Conduct, to maintain competence and keep up with developments in the financial planning field; and
• Ethics – Renew an agreement to be bound by the Standards of Professional Conduct. The Standards prominently require that CFP® professionals provide financial planning services at a fiduciary standard of care. This means CFP® professionals must provide financial planning services in the best interests of their clients.
CFP® professionals who fail to comply with the above standards and requirements may be subject to CFP Board’s enforcement process, which could result in suspension or permanent revocation of their CFP® certification.

Chartered Retirement Plans SpecialistSM or CRPS®
Individuals who hold the CRPS® designation have completed a course of study encompassing design, installation, maintenance and administration of retirement plans. Additionally, individuals must pass an end-of-course examination that tests their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.
All designees have agreed to adhere to Standards of Professional Conduct and are subject to a disciplinary process.
Designees renew their designation every two-years by completing 16 hours of continuing education, reaffirming adherence to the Standards of Professional Conduct and complying with self-disclosure requirements.

Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®)
The AIF Designation certifies that the recipient has specialized knowledge of fiduciary standards of care and their application to the investment management process. To receive the AIF Designation, the individual must meet prerequisite criteria based on a combination of education, relevant industry experience, and/or ongoing professional development, complete a training program, successfully pass a comprehensive, closed-book final examination under the supervision of a proctor and agree to abide by the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards. In order to maintain the AIF Designation, the individual must annually attest to the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards, and accrue and report a minimum of six hours of continuing education. The Designation is administered by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, the standards-setting body of fi360. Professional Certifications

Peter formed his own firm, Cornerstone Capital Advisors Inc., prior to joining forces with PRISM. Peter previously was a Financial Consultant with A. G. Edwards & Sons, Inc. Earlier, he was a Vice President in the Investment Banking Division of Shearson Lehman Hutton, structuring $3 billion of municipal bond offerings for public clients located throughout the country.
Peter is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a B.S. in Business Administration and he earned an MBA, with emphasis in Finance, from the University of Denver. He and his wife Molly have three daughters.

Ryan has devoted his entire 20 year career advising affluent families and institutions on investments and wealth management solutions. After working at Robertson Stephens, the Private Bank and Investing Group at Merrill Lynch, RBC Capital Markets, and Strategies Capital Management, Ryan moved to PRISM Financial Strategies in 2020. With a focus on PRISM’s multi-family office platform, he works to maximize each families’ balance sheet beyond their investment portfolios. His expertise includes wealth transfer, asset allocation and concentrated stock management, including 10b5-1 selling plans, hedging, and diversification strategies. Ryan graduated from the University of San Diego and lives in Denver with his wife, Courtney, and his two daughters. In his free time, Ryan enjoys snowboarding and golf, as well as travelling around the world to do those things.

Robert Single is a Colorado native that was born and raised Littleton. As a teen in junior high, Robert began trading stocks with his father and developed a passion for investing. This passion grew into a career 4 years ago when he left a 30-year career as a Petroleum Geologist in the Oil and Gas industry. As a Petroleum Geologist, Robert was extremely successful creating value and building wealth for large and small companies. That experience has led Robert in a new path adding value and building wealth for his private clients.

Tom has served in various capacities in the retirement industry since 2000. He was previously the President and CEO of Strategies Capital Management before merging the firm into PRISM in 2020. Prior to Strategies, he was a Shareholder and Executive Vice President of a national administration and record-keeping firm headquartered in Denver.
Tom is passionate about improving the retirement industry in the United States for the investor and as a result he has been a strong voice within the industry. He has been a featured guest on Fox Business News, Advisor Television, along with published articles in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, Forbes, and many industry publications. Tom holds an MBA and a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Colorado and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University (OH) with a minor in Statistics (Decision Sciences).
Tom has been active in his church serving as the chair of the Finance and Personnel committees for many years, as well as founding its Children’s Mission Project which creates volunteer opportunities for youth to give back to the Denver community. He also coaches boys’ basketball for the YMCA and Kent Denver and has been honored with a Volunteer of the Year award for the city of Denver. Tom also serves on The Kent Denver School Investment Committee helping guide policy on their school endowment.
In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife Jane and their two boys. He is an avid cyclist, plays tennis and golf, and enjoys traveling.

Eric graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and animal science in May 1997. Upon graduation Mr. Maaske entered the investment industry in July 1997.
Eric now resides in Kearney, Nebraska with his wife and three children. He has stayed true to his farming roots and remains involved with his family’s farming operation in a limited capacity. The Maaske’s are members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
